A reccuring trend that I have seen a fair few times during Fashion Week is the contrasting body and sleeve.

Above, fresh off the Autumn 2011/12 Catwalk is 3.1 Phillip Lim's Brandy Raglan Nappa Sleeve top.

Below: Low and behold it is none other than Marks and Spencer, which have done the exact same garment in a shift dress.

Well M&S, I was beginning to lose hope. Back with a bang I must say and right on trend.
This dress is from the Autograph range £110.

Understated yet edgy. The deep tan and navy tones, work  together beautifully.

After about 4 years of mediocore , Marks have done me proud. Below are few of my faves from the AW11 Collection.

Autograph Floral Lace Chiffon Dress £65

Shawl Collar 1 Button Long-Line Blazer £55

Do take note that the styling in these shots is impeccable. It is important to pick out the right key pieces and to team them with simple yet strong complimentary garments and jewellery.

M&S have decided to go on a decadent gothic route this season. The main colour focus is  black with lashings of layered textures.

If you don't like daring colours you can still make a statement in black/grey or any other muted tone. Texture is a great way to add intrigue and make an outfit more interesting. As is large and bold costume jewellery.
